Chinese phrase, Chinese sentence – How to say ” You are amazing, just the way you are” in Chinese: jiu4 ni3 zhe4 yang4, zhen1 ling4 ren2 jing1 tan4. 就你这样，真令人惊叹。Jiu4 (就 just, adverb to modify ni zhe yang-the way you are) ni3 (你 you, pronoun) zhe4 yang4 (这样 this way, like this, such), zhen1 (真 adverb, really) ling4 (令 verb, make) ren2 (人 noun, people) jing1 tan4 (惊叹 jing1 means amaze and tan4 means sigh, so jing1 tian4 mean got amazed and sighed). Literally this Chinese sentence means: The way you are, really amaze people and make them sigh (in admiration).
It is hard to translate “you are amazing” into Chinese. The Google translate or MDBG all translate it as “Ni3 shi4 jing1 ren2 de5 你是惊人的。” When we say the phrase – jing1 ren2 , it usually means something is shocking. For example, if you saw your friend ate 600 donuts in five minutes, you will say wow, ta1 de5 shi2 liang4 zhen1 jing1 ren2 他的食量真惊人 （He has really amazing stomach capacity). But, for the amazing that refers to something beautiful, I would rather to use jing1 tan4 got amazed and sighed in admiration.
